The Museum

This unique and original spot was born to tell the story of a Craft that became an Art, in a land made for excellence.

Inside the Museum, that once was the old Panizza hat factory, the visitor could experience a fascinating and amazing visit.

You will be able to see and understand old types of machinery and materials, see antique pictures and watch videos, discover prints and collections. Everything will guide you into a process where human talent transformed rabbit's fur in one of the most famous iconic hat in history.

A story since 1879

Ghiffa, 1994. The dream of the hatmakers become true. Thanks to the generous donation of Antonio Gamba, last owner, the door of a beautiful Italian history can be opened. A history of a Maison that from 1881 to 1981 has taken its brand all around the globe.

Museum tours

Where once there was an area dedicated to the production, some other interesting zone took place; discover the ethnic hats collection gifted by Vittorio Fesce, opened in 2007. And don't miss the dolls collection gifted by Madame Eloisa Signorelli, made by antique and modern fashion dolls, all with beautiful hats!
